Nach einer starken Hallensaison spielen wir nächstes Jahr wieder in der 1. Bundesliga!!!
After the first tournament in may we got an invitation for a second mixed tournament this time for the 10years anniversary of the pitch in Rundamina. We played 6:6 and consisted of a team of seven players that had a lot of fun.
The first game was a bit difficult for us and we lost 4:3 but after that we won the other two games 6:2 and 4:2 and therefor had the most scored goals and ended on the first place. Thank you once again for a really nice weekend and see you in the indoor season.
After a long Covid break we finally got another invitation to compete against a Lithuanian hockey team. So, from the 20.5. until the 22.5. we travelled to Vilnius with the Riga Stradins University hockey team, consisting of players from the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and Italy.
Most of the team already arrived Friday evening, so that a chosen four of our players were able to compete in the real Lithuanian first field hockey league, for which they joined the Ardas Hockey team. With the help of our four players the team was able to win the game with 2:1. The rest of the team had a picknick at the pitch before we went back to the hotel. So fuhren wir letztes Wochenende nach Vilnius. Nach einer bequemen Busfahrt wurden wir vom Litauischen Hockeyverbandspräsidenten freundlich empfangen und schauten uns nach einem ersten Snack den Hockeyplatz an.
Erstes Turnier in Litauen
Nach einem Großfeldspiel gegen die Jugendmannschaft aus Vilnius konnten wir uns gut einspielen und uns vorbereiten auf das große Turnier am Samstag.
So hatten wir für Samstag zwei fast ausgeglichene Kleinfeldteams gemacht und spielten wenig später unser erstes Spiel gegen einen Teil des litauischen Meisterteams das wir knapp mit 3:2 gewinnen konnten. Auch unser zweites Spiel konnten wir gewinnen und standen somit im Finale...
Seit ich nun in Riga (Lettland) studiere bin ich dem Feldhockeyteam der Riga-Stradins-University beigetreten. Leider sind wir die einzige Hockeymannschaft in ganz Lettland aber immerhinkönnen wir einmal pro Woche gemeinsam trainieren.
